Frequently asked questions

How does AI image to video work?

An image-to-video model treats your picture as the first frame and predicts the frames that follow, guided by your motion prompt. Clear directions about the camera and what should move, like "slow push in as steam rises from the cup", tend to give the most natural results.

Is Image to Video free?

No. Video generation is included with a Pro subscription and requires you to sign in. Each Pro account can make up to five videos a day, shared with video generation in chat, and the count resets daily.

What happens to the images I upload?

Uploaded images are saved to our file storage so the video service can fetch them, then sent with your prompt to the AI video model. Finished videos are not saved to your account, so download any clip you want to keep.

Which models can I choose from?

Five: Grok Imagine, Hailuo 02 Standard, PixVerse V6, Seedance 2.0 Fast and Seedance 2.0. They balance cost and quality differently and offer different lengths, resolutions and extras, such as sound or an ending image for the video to transition to.

How long does a video take?

Usually a couple of minutes, depending on the model, the length and how busy the queue is. The page shows your place in the queue while you wait and plays a chime when the video is ready.
