How to use the expand tool
- Add a picture by uploading, pasting or choosing one from your media.
- Pick a new shape, how far to zoom out, or both.
- Click Expand and download the wider picture.

Is it free?
Yes. It is free with an OpenTools account, up to 30 edits an hour across the edit tools.
Will it change my original picture?
No. The original stays in the middle exactly as it was; only the new space around it is generated.
What happens to my photo?
It is saved to OpenTools storage so the AI service can read it, then processed by fal.ai. The result is saved to your private library on the Create page, and you choose whether to share it.
